I am an Editor with over 25 years of experience and a deep passion for storytelling across long- and short-form documentaries, feature films, and television. At times, I also serve as a "preditor," assuming full creative responsibility for the final cut from concept to completion.

I view film and television as vital tools for addressing the issues of our time. I thrive on every stage of the editing process—from the intricate problem-solving of a narrative arc to the nuanced meanings created by juxtaposing specific images. I treat sound as a primary storytelling element, carefully integrating music and sound effects to elevate the visual experience. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I am fluent in Spanish and have edited feature-length films in both English and Spanish.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of collaborating with award-winning directors and executive producers, including Geeta Gandbhir, Ethan Hawke, Stacey Holman, Lucy Kennedy, Juan Mejía, John Hoffman, Lydia Tenaglia, Ted Schillinger, Chris Collins, Henry Louis Gates Jr., and Dyllan McGee. My work has been showcased at festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, Toronto, SXSW, Venice, Hot Docs, Berlin, and Telluride, and has aired on PBS, Netflix, Discovery, A&E, and Esquire.

I am a member of ACE (American Cinema Editors), the Television Academy, the Alliance for Documentary Editors, and BIPOC DOC Editors. I hold a BA in Communications from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a Master’s in Media Studies with a certificate in film from The New School. Before finding my home in the edit suite, I worked as a journalist, bartender, waitress, and pizza delivery driver. I currently live in Hoboken, NJ, with my wife, three teenagers, one dog, and two cats.
